Good Morning World,
I woke up to terrible news that Japan was hit with Earthquakes and Tsnumai. My prayers goes out to all those affected. This has got to be the most depressing and devastating news I have heard this year. These “natural disasters” are happening far too often and are just way to close for comfort.
I remember when the flooding of New Orleans occured. I felt sick to my stomach at what was transpiring. I felt an immediate urge to pack my clothes and some food in my knapsack, and literally go to New Orleans and help. I had friends tell me, “Camy you have to stop watching the news, you’re getting addicted. This is not good for you…” I would constantly have my tv on CNN, updating myself on what’s been happening. To this day, I still think about New Orleans, and I still want to go and see what volunteer opportunties I can do to help. They are still in need…Haiti is still in need…Indonesia is still in need. Let’s please not forget these countries and what they have been through.
I feel myself falling into the “addiction mode” again while watching the disaster take over Japan. I am feeling a little depressed and I don’t feel like going anywhere, but just staying on my computer and in front of the TV watching CNN.
Like I posted on facebook and twitter this morning. Prayer Warriors we need you to send out massive prayers to these places and people. For those in and around California, Hawaii and even on the western coast of Canada. My prayers are with you also.
As the rest of us continue on with our day…if you get upset about anything…just stop and remember the countries that are being affected right now. Know that what just happend to you; whether it was an argument with someone; you’re running late for an appointment; you forgot your lunch at home; you just received a parking/speeding ticket…you were woken up this morning to see a new day. Count your blessings.
It’s getting too close to comfort for me.
May GOD bless us all.
